Information collected
DesignBench collects information submitted through contact, company intake, designer interest, application, profile, assessment, credential, project, clarification, review, and approval workflows. This may include names, business contact details, work history, availability, professional evidence, project requirements, communications, and private uploaded files.
The service also records account identifiers, role assignments, workflow status, timestamps, audit events, and basic security information needed to operate and protect the platform.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, evaluate pilot fit, verify designers, review project scope and risk, control access, coordinate project work, maintain audit history, prevent abuse, and improve the DesignBench operating model.
DesignBench does not sell personal information. Public designer information is displayed only through the profile publication workflow, and confidential customer work may not be published without written permission.
Service providers and access
DesignBench uses service providers such as Netlify for hosting and Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage. Transactional email may be handled by Supabase or a configured email provider. These providers process information to deliver their services and may operate infrastructure outside the user's province or country.
Access is limited by server-side roles and private-file controls. Authorized administrators may review submitted information to operate the pilot. Designers and company users receive only the records and files assigned to their role and project.
Retention and protection
DesignBench uses access controls, signed private-file links, audit records, rate limiting, and operational review to protect hosted data. No internet service can promise absolute security, and users should avoid submitting information that is not needed for the pilot.
Project files are intended to be removed after the documented retention window following completion, subject to active disputes, legal obligations, security review, and agreed project requirements. Other records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the pilot, operations, security, or legal obligations.
Questions and requests
Contact hello@designbench.ca to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information. DesignBench may need to retain limited records where required for security, contracts, disputes, or applicable law.
These private-beta operating terms do not replace a project-specific NDA, statement of work, services agreement, or other signed contract. DesignBench will require applicable written terms before paid production work begins. Questions can be sent to hello@designbench.ca.
